Dates to Remember

Feast of the Three Saints
Feast of the Three Saints

When this edition comes into circulation we will be in full celebration of the upcoming festivals, not forgetting to mention the one that just finished, of which we bring photos this week. We are referring to the Dominican Parade 2017 that took place on Sunday, August 27.

For this coming weekend we are ready to enjoy three unforgettable days in Lawrence’s history. Those who closely follow the festivals and celebrations that take place annually in the city, know that we are referring to the Feast of the Three Saints, St. Alfio, Filadelfo and Cirino, which will be held from this Friday September 1st until Sunday, September 3rd, commemorating 94 years of existence.

Also, from Friday, September 1st to Sunday, September 3rd, Lebanese will be celebrating their traditional Mahrajan at St. Anthony’s Maronite Church, an annual family gathering that celebrates the church commemorating 43 years of uninterrupted celebration. Hundreds of families are attracted to the Lebanese food, raffles, games and live music.

And to end the weekend, Monday, September 4, Labor Day, we will be celebrating the 33rd anniversary of the Festival of Bread and Roses, which highlights the details of the historic textile strike of 1912 to be held in the Campagnone Common. A weekend to remember which highlights the diversity of this great city, the Immigrant City, we have chosen to make our homes.
