Four years, nine months and five days after leaving office, thanks to Glorivee Santana’s initiative, the portrait of the former Mayor of Lawrence William Lantigua has joined the collection of former mayors who adorn the walls of the Chamber.
The photo in question was delivered to the city clerk shortly after Lantigua left his office as mayor for members of his campaign. He, in turn, gave it to the city attorney, who kept it in his office waiting for authorization from Mayor Rivera to hang it up, according to information that has reached us.
Knowing this information, Glorivee Santana sent letters to each of the councilors, finally getting his photo in the gallery of mayors that adorn the City Council Chamber in the City of Lawrence.
