9th annual “In Pink” event will also honor Congresswoman Niki Tsongas’ district director
This fall, nationally-known comedian and motivational speaker Loretta LaRoche will perform a stand-up routine to benefit women’s health initiatives at Greater Lawrence Family Health Center. This will be just one part of the organization’s 9th annual In Pink Brunch & Comedy Show fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Andover Country Club.
Congresswoman Niki Tsongas’ district director, June Black, will be honored with the health center’s Rosalyn Kempton Wood Award for Inspirational Leadership during the event. A two-time breast cancer survivor who holds women’s health causes near and dear to her heart, Black is being recognized for her time serving the Merrimack Valley as “a champion of constituent concerns,” according to GLFHC.
“For over 20 years, June Black has demonstrated an abiding commitment to the constituents of this district as well as to serving her community and our country,” said Tsongas. “She has helped ensure that accessibility to the people we represent is a hallmark of my office and that we provide prompt, respectful and excellent services to our constituents. I appreciate the opportunity to recognize a remarkable member of my staff, whose individual achievements so deserves.”
In addition to LaRoche’s routine, the event will feature silent and live auctions, brunch provided by the country club and a gift for attendees. $45 early bird tickets are available for a limited time at glfhc.org/inpink2018.
