It’s not often my friend Michelle and I get a chance to get together for an afternoon of lunch and shopping, so when we did, we found ourselves wanting to do one of our favorite things: Consignment shopping.
As we were driving around looking for a store, we ended up on Route 28 in Salem, New Hampshire, at one we had visited a couple of years prior at what I remembered to be a “train wreck” of a store. I figured what the heck, let’s go in.
As we walked in I was in absolute amazement at the transformation of this store!! I had to do a double take as the woman behind the counter welcomed us in, promptly telling us of the days special.
Everything is beautifully laid out on the racks, along the walls. Designer clothes from Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Coach, all different types of brands from Levi’s to Ralph Lauren.
I had to stop and ask her what happened. I explained that I was here just maybe two years ago and was hesitant to come in again because it was such a mess and yet I’m walking in to such a selection, but not just that, it was a beautiful store!
Ann Marie, the new owner, explained that she bought the store last August and transformed it into what it is today. What it looks like is my dream of walking into my own personal large walk in closet (you know that closet that is just one of your many bedrooms in your house) having all these beautiful clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories to choose from.
She personally hand picks all the clothes coming in but she also keeps in mind those that need that extra help.
Ann Marie reminded me how fortunate she is to be able to fulfill her dream and with that she tries to work with various non profits such a Lazarus House in Lawrence.
As she gave me a tour of the store we talked and “OOH & AAHED” the beautiful gowns all along the long wall of the store her mind wandered again and made another offer.
For all the Lawrence students going to prom this year needing a dress: Come on in and show your ID and get a prom dress for $25!!
Stop by Blooming Deals today and say hello, at 391 South Broadway, Salem, NH (603)212-9990.
I think I may have just found my new favorite store.
