Emilio Joubert, Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School Class of 2015, has just accepted an offer from Instagram to work for them after he graduates Georgetown University in 2019. Joubert has interned with the company for the last two summers and has quickly become an inspiration to his colleagues.
Joubert was recently given the McTighe Prize at Georgetown University and spoke at the New Student Convocation a few weeks ago. He talks of his struggles of growing up in Lawrence, in a family with limited income, and losing his mother to cancer, how he embraced these challenges, worked hard and turned his story into one of inspiration and success.
He has taken Lawrence, Georgetown (and the world) by storm.
