“Disasters such as the recent gas explosions in Lawrence, Andover and North Andover can impact individuals applying for USCIS benefits. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) offers immigration services that may help people affected by unforeseen circumstances. Measures may be available to expedite replacement of lost or damaged immigration or travel documents issued by USCIS, such as a permanent resident card (green card), naturalization certificate or employment card.
The USCIS Lawrence field office director has reached out to community organizations to offer USCIS services to impacted individuals at recovery centers or like locations. Those in the affected communities in need of services or information from our Lawrence Field Office may feel free to come to the office without an appointment. The office is accepting emergency walk-ins.
Officers are available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will field questions and provide assistance where possible. Visit the Lawrence Field Office at 2 Mill Street, Lawrence, MA 01840. Those coming to the office should bring any relevant documentation/information that could be helpful to the office.”
