August 25, 2015, Lawrence, MA – Mayor Daniel Rivera and Interim Police Chief James Fitzpatrick announce today the release of monthly crime reports in an effort to increase transparency and engage the community in helping to fight crime.

“This effort is another step towards building trust and transparency with the residents of the City of Lawrence,” said Mayor Daniel Rivera. “We want the community to see month to month whether or not we are in fact Making Lawrence Safer.”

The monthly crime data presented reflects preliminary crime data for most Part I felony crimes as they were known at the time of original publication and are not official crime statistics. Preliminary crime data often changes at a later date due to further investigation and /or updated classification before they become official crime statistics. We have crime analysis reports from 2009 and 2010 where available and from 2014 to present.

Citizens can go to the website below to find information on crime statistics throughout the city. The information was compiled by the crime analysis unit, John Reynolds and Amy Abreu.
