LHS St. Patrick’s Day 1956

It was a time for the students and staff to break out the wearing of the green as everyone in the school became Irish for the day.

This poem was written by a junior student celebrating this day:

Tis the day for the wearing of the green,

all over the country the color will be seen,

and every O’Reilly is sure to glow from the tip of his head right down to his toe.

Each and every Irish song is sung and throughout the world bells are rung,

and when this St. Patrick’s Day has passed just look forward to another as great as the last.

The Good Citizen Nominee at LHS this month is a Bruce School graduate.  She is a 4 year high honor student at this school.

Judy Berbert has been a member of the Latin, German, Biology, Chemistry, speakers and glee clubs and finds time to attend all the school’s athletic and social events.

She has many student and teaching friends and her bubbly personality and charm, along with a willingness to jump in to help in any way is also a plus.

She has been accepted to U/Mass where she’ll major in psychology.

Judy hopes to become a child psychologist upon graduating.

All who know her will be happy to congratulate her on this Good Citizen Award.
