Haverhill, June 9 – June 11 Closures will occur from 9 a.m. through 3 p.m., to facilitate pier work as part of the I-495 Haverhill Bridge Project

HAVERHILL – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that it will be implementing single left lane closures on Interstate 495 south, between exits 49 and 50 and exit 48, in Haverhill. The lane closures are scheduled to take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, Wednesday, June 10, and Thursday, June 11. The lane closures are necessary for pier protection barrier work.

Advance warning signs will be used on-site to notify the traveling public about the planned closures and provide updates.

MassDOT encourages drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes to minimize delays. Those traveling through the area should expect delays and should reduce speed and use caution.
