The Lawrence Partnership, founded in 2015, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the economic revitalization of the City of Lawrence, by fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors. Through strategic partnerships with leaders from local businesses, area banks, nonprofits, educational and healthcare institutions, and government, the Partnership is deeply committed to building a resilient, inclusive, and equitable local economy. Socrates De La Cruz is a name synonymous with impactful leadership in business, civic engagement, and community service. From his humble beginnings, spending time at the Lawrence Boys and Girls Club to honing his skills and education into becoming an attorney, he has risen to become one of the region’s most influential figures. As the Founder and CEO of De La Cruz Law, a prominent criminal defense and personal injury firm, and De La Cruz Properties, a real estate investment, holding, and management company with one of the largest residential portfolios in the City of Lawrence, he has demonstrated his prowess in the business world.
What sets Socrates De La Cruz apart is his unwavering dedication to empowering others and giving back to his community. He founded Socratic Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to providing motivational speaking and awarding scholarships to young individuals in the Merrimack Valley. His commitment to shaping the future of the region is further evident in his involvement with the boards of the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC) and Greater Lawrence Community Action Council (GLCAC). Socrates is also a founding Board Member of LEADS, an organization dedicated to fostering leadership in the community.
