Rep. Moran nominates Nathalie Lora during the celebration for Hispanic Heritage Month

State Representative Frank A. Moran (D-Lawrence, Andover and Methuen) on October 3, the Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus held its annual “Latinx Excellence on the Hill” event as a celebration of Hispanic Heritage month. Legislators were able to nominate influential Hispanic community leaders within their respective districts to honor at the event.

This year, Representative Frank Moran chose to nominate Nathalie Lora of ACT Lawrence, a Latina-led non-profit that works closely with the low to moderate-income populations in Lawrence Massachusetts, and provides professional development opportunities for youth.

“During her tenure at ACT Lawrence, Nathalie has remained committed to the City of Lawrence. She is passionate, engaging, and works tirelessly to ensure that the youth of our community have opportunities to flourish as leaders. Her work and dedication to our community is noticed, and is appreciated,” said Representative Moran.

“Since 2015, I have been working with the youth with different backgrounds and I love the way that they relate to me, I love to see them excited to learn. ACT Lawrence’s Youth Leadership Program is the best opportunity an adolescent can have. In this program you learn skills that they do not teach in high school, such as: how to write a check, how to balance a checkbook, how to write a resume, or even how to apply to a job. This is my passion, helping others become successful is something I enjoy,” said Nathalie Lora.
