Lupoli Companies Awarded Commercial Development of the Year in Boston by CoStar

The Pavilion at Riverwalk recently won a 2023 CoStar Impact Award for the Best Commercial Development in the Boston area, as judged by a panel of seasoned real estate professionals.

The Pavilion at Riverwalk is an 80,000 square foot mixed use building offering 4 floors of retail, office, and conference space. The property features a 1,250-car parking facility and its main feature, a regulation-size, turf athletic field located atop the garage. The Pavilion Field overlooks the Merrimack River and provides beautiful views of Lawrence’s historic clock tower.

Officially, the development opened in September 2022. Within weeks of breaking ground, the athletic field was fully booked for the entire fall season. As a huge proponent of athletics and education, Lupoli Companies has donated the field to the city-based youth football and soccer programs, while many private organizations rent it for a variety of different events.

The Pavilion “has given Lawrence residents the opportunity to enjoy an outdoor sports field within city limits, where a majority of residents don’t have the means to travel outside of the city to enjoy the same amenities,” said Drew Kirkland, an Impact Award judge, and Senior Associate at Northeast Private Client Group.

The annual CoStar Impact Awards celebrates commercial real estate practitioners that have brought leadership, innovation, and professionalism to their markets, by spotlighting commendable transactions and projects. The award recognizes exemplary commercial real estate transactions and projects completed in 2022 with significant influence in neighborhoods or submarkets across 128 major markets in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
