Police arrested six for assault in Sullivan Park

            As was reported, the investigation of the incident at Sullivan Park on North Parish Road on Monday, December 4th remains active.  As a result of the investigation conducted by the Lawrence Police Department nine juvenile males were identified and charged as follows.

  • Six individuals have been arrested and charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault with Intent to Murder.

 

  • Two individuals have active warrants for their arrest, one being charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault with Intent to Murder, and a second charged with Unarmed Robbery

 

  • One individual will be summonsed into court for Assault and Battery

            These individuals were taken into custody by members Lawrence Police Street Crimes Unit and Lawrence Police School Resource Officer Unit without incident.  Lawrence Police continue searching for the two individuals with arrest warrants.

            As was emphasized yesterday, the safety of the students of the Lawrence Public Schools continues to be of paramount importance to Mayor Brian A. DePeña, Chief William Castro, Superintend Juan Rodriguez, the members of the Lawrence Police Department, and, staff and leadership of the Lawrence Public Schools, as such we are committed to continue to work together with the public at large to achieve this goal.

 

            Since these individuals are all juveniles, their names are not being released as per M.G.L c.119 § 38.
