We need a break

After a long and extremely cold winter, we need a break as we begin preparations to enjoy summer activities.

And for warmth, nothing beats the Hispanic Week activities, which this year is dedicated to our heroes and it’s coming at breakneck speed; if we do not take advantage of it, time will go by without realizing it saying, where did the summer go?

All activities selecting the queens at all age levels were exquisite presentations of art, class and taste.  The judges did a great job paying tribute to the beauty, talent and intelligence, and we cannot ignore the work of the set for each scenario.  Simply fabulous!

This Friday, June 6, is the beginning of a whole week celebrating Hispanic Heritage in the City of Lawrence with a gala dinner, followed by daily events organized by members of the different nationalities sharing this historic city, with aiming to showcase the best of each of them.  We refer to the Cultural Nights, reason why Lawrence is famous.

This year and for the first time, Venezuelan Night comes to join in with Colombia, Haiti, Peru, Mexico, Ecuador and the two busiest nights dedicated to Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

Hispanic Week brings over 50,000 people to the city during the three days of celebration at Campagnone Common.  This is a healthy and wholesome family festival which we are very proud to celebrate annually.
